Mount Cotton recreation park
Since we stay in Thornlands we have been twice to the Mount cotton recreation park. The park has a nice playground, an outdoor fitness area, a bbq area and lots of birds free to enjoy. As you could see, the second time we went we got some heavy rain overnight, causing some flooding in
Sirromet Winery and lots of kangaroos
Today we walk to the Sirromet Winery, about 3.5 km from were we stay. It is a nice walk and we meet lot’s of wallabies. Wallabies are smaller than kangaroos and have a shorter lifespan, living on average between 11 and 14 years while Kangaroos can life up to 25 years. Mostly Kangaroos life on
Cleveland point, another nice BBQ spot
When we arrived at Cleveland point, we felt like we were in Greece, one of our favourite holiday destination in Europe. Nice white tavern, blue water and a relaxed atmosphere. Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre, The Gap
This afternoon we take the kids to The Gap, a few km North West of Brisbane. The park is part of the Queensland government. You pay a small entry fee to visit the Discovery Centre which has several reptiles including snakes, a crocodile, and many more, but also some animals held outdoor like Audrics favourite
Fun at our Airbnb farm
Since a few days we stay in Thornlands, which is about 1 hour south from Brisbane and close to the coast, although most of the coastal areas around Brisbane have mangroves, there are a few places that have sandy beaches within 20 min of our Airbnb location. We will stay one month here, the place
Main Beach, Gold Coast
Today we head towards the south to discover the famous Gold Coast. As we only go for a day trip we choose Main Beach which is only 1 hour from our new Airbnb location in Thornlands and the northern part of the Gold Coast. The Gold Coast named after it’s gold coloured beaches, is known
