Happy New Year from Brisbane South Bank
No better place to celebrate New Year at South Bank and going there by a short ferry trip. Kids first enjoyed a swim, afterwards we all enjoyed the family fireworks at 20:30. Wynnum, a nice bay village
This afternoon we will discover Wynnum, a small village South of the Brisbane international airport. The village lies along the coast and has a nice bike path, parklands with a small aquapark and a big wading pool filled with water from the sea. Today we spend half a day out at the Mount Coot-tha reserve. Mount Coot-tha is an Aboriginal word meaning ‘place of honey’ its names this because the Aboriginal people of the area used to come to the mountain to collect ‘ku-ta’ (honey) that was produced by the native stingless bee.
