Covid situation in Queensland

Masks are not mandatory anymore and covid seems far away here. Although everywhere you go you have to scan a QR code before you enter, by this the government can trace you in case you got in contact with a Covid positive person and all necessary steps like an obliged 14 day quarantine will be initiated. Since a few weeks we don’t have any Covid case (READ 0 cases) in Queensland, which is different from the states Victoria and New South Wales. The fact that Queensland has no Covid cases is thanks to the closed borders: everybody who wants to enter the Queensland state has hotel Quarantine for 14 days including undergoing 4 covid tests, all at own expenses, and this is not linked to the fact you are vaccinated or not.  Queensland is still promoting people to get vaccinated, to be honest they are very creative here. The government has organized several pop up vaccination tents next to Bunnings shops (similar to Gamma and Brico in Belgium) and gives everyone who takes a jab (like the vaccine is called her) a free sausage😊Have a look at the below promotion video. https://www.9news.com.au/national/bunnings-queensland-to-host-pop-up-vaccination-clinics/0a1ec236-4750-4b70-b299-1a62f82ace75
