Sirromet Winery and lots of kangaroos

Today we walk to the Sirromet Winery, about 3.5 km from were we stay. It is a nice walk and we meet lot’s of wallabies.  Wallabies are smaller than kangaroos and have a shorter lifespan, living on average between 11 and 14 years while Kangaroos can life up to 25 years. Mostly Kangaroos life on open terrain, while the wallabies live more in the forestry areas.

The Sirromet Winery, has a nice Italian restaurant, a café, glamping tents and a beautiful lake. The vineyards itself are located in the high altitude of Queensland’s Granite Belt region,  1 hour south of Brisbane. We had a nice ice coffee at the café and a good walk back.
