Main Beach, Gold Coast

Today we head towards the south to discover the famous Gold Coast. As we only go for a day trip we choose Main Beach which is only 1 hour from our new Airbnb location in Thornlands and the northern part of the Gold Coast. The Gold Coast named after it’s gold coloured beaches, is known for its theme parks (like Orlando in Florida) and surfing beaches.  As expected on a public holiday (Birthday of the Queen and in Australia only celebrated in the state Queensland), it was busy on the roads, but luckily not on the beaches 😊 Nice, clean beaches, lot’s of dogs going for a walk and swim, several jet skis, yachts, parklands and playgrounds. Nice day out for the family, without spending any money apart from a delicious Vietnamese diner.
