Day 11 in Quarantine
Does the sun rise from the East in Australia like it does in Europe? Where does the sun stand at mid-day in Brisbane? We got confused with the cardinal directions East, West, South & North, when using Audric’s compass on our balcony. Conclusion of the day, we learnt that in Australia the sun stands at mid-day in the North (and not in the South like in Belgium or the Northern hemisphere). The sun rises in the morning from the East and sets in the evening in the West, so equal to Belgium. Lastly, apparently not all compasses you buy in Europe work correctly in the Southern hemisphere, luckily ours do.. Today we had a windy day.
