About 12 min from our house St Lucia Golf links offers a public course, meaning you don’t need a handicap to play and everybody can play for a small fee, the Golf is owned by the Brisbane council. No better place to celebrate New Year at South Bank and going there by a short ferry trip. Kids first enjoyed a swim, afterwards we all enjoyed the family fireworks at 20:30. Woorim Ocean Beach
Woorim Beach at Bribie island is about 1.5 hour drive from our house, it is the closest surf beach north of Brisbane, making it a popular spot for surfers. Bribie Island, the only island in Queensland which is connected to the mainland by 831 m bridge since 1963 is known for his good 4WD tracks
