Whitsunday Islands and Heart Reef
Whitsunday Islands National Park is part of the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area, famed for its superlative natural beauty, outstanding examples of reef ecosystem development, evolutionary history and amazing diversity. It is the most beautiful place on earth I have visited until now. There are several ways to experience the beauty of Hill Inlet and it will take you some time to compare the different options and choose the best fit for you and your family. Not all operators visit Hill Inlet and the Tongue Point lookout on a Whitehaven Beach visit, so be sure to check before you book. We booked a combi trip for our family having a flight over the Whitsundays in combination with a half day boat trip. It is not cheap, but really worth it. The 40 min flight covers the different Whitsunday islands, the Inlet and coral reefs including heart reef. The views are fantastic!
