Magnetic Island
Famous from the Netflix series Izzy’s Koala World, magnetic island is the place to see koala’s. There is a famous Koala Forts walk to them the animals in the wild. Or stay at the Bungalow Bay Koala Village and book for the incredible good breakfast in combination with a tour in the Koala Park, not cheap, but really wort the money, which goes to the Koala’s anyway. To discover the different spots on the island you will need a 4WD rental car, if you are with less than 5 family members, you could go for a funny barbie car famous for the island. Apart from Koala’s Magnetic island has several great beaches like Picnic Bay and Horseshoe Bay offering plenty of snorkelling opportunities . At Geoffrey bay you can meet the rock wallabies which is a great experience as well. You can reach Magnetic island with a sealink ferry from Townsville.
